The area focuses on building new industries with special characteristics, such as textiles and clothing, specialty food, and cultural tourism, to expand and strengthen the local economy. Among these industries, the textile and garment industry will utilize the advantages of the Garment Industrial Park and the reputation of Qianjiang Tailorship, and vigorously introduces enterprises such as company headquarters and satellite factories, internet-based and customized platforms, as well as clothing design, clothing accessories and trade platforms. Relying on characteristic agricultural resources, the specialty food industry promotes the "South Red and North Green" project, and vigorously attracts food intensive processing enterprises dedicated in shrimp, rice, soybean, surimi cultivation and other resources, as well as Chinese medicine tablets and Chinese proprietary medicine R&D and production enterprises dedicated in pinellia ternate production. The cultural tourism industry centers on the comprehensive development of Qianjiang history and culture, celebrity culture, red culture, crayfish culture and intangible heritage culture to attract large-scale tourism investment companies, and aims on meeting the 5A-level standards to build key projects such as the Palace of King Chuling of the Eastern Zhou Dynasty, Xinglong Greenway, and Cao Yu Drama Culture.

Petrochemical Refining Industry Cluster in the North

Focusing on leading the innovative and sustainable development, the Qianjiang Economic Development Zone and Jianghan Salt Chemical Industrial Park are regarded as the pillars to promote the cluster development and intensive agglomeration of new chemical, new energy and new science and technology industries. Among them, the new chemical industry relies on the well-established chemical industry foundation such as petrochemical industry, salt chemical industry, coal chemical industry and silicon chemical industry to promote the transformation and upgrading of basic chemical industry into refined chemical industry, pharmaceutical chemical industry, polymer synthetic materials, energy materials and other fields. The new energy industry focuses on the construction of Jianghan strategic gas storage, promotes the exploitation of shale gas and the deep development of brine resources, and vigorously introduces related enterprises dedicated in hydrogen energy manufacturing, storage, transportation and utilization. By expanding the applications of natural gas and hydrogen other than industrial raw fuels and domestic fuels, we introduce enterprises focusing on hydrogen fuel cells, hydrogen energy vehicles, hydrogen refueling stations, lithium batteries and their applications. The area will seize the opportunities in the new generation of information technology industry, promote the in-depth development of the optical fiber rod industry, and vigorously introduces enterprises in power electronic devices, photoelectric components, lasers and other photoelectric systems. Based on the radiation effects of the Qianjiang Microelectronics Materials Industrial Park and by utilizing RMB 3 billion from the Yangtze River Microelectronics Materials Industry Fund we will focus on introducing the enterprises dedicated in mask plate, photoresist, wet polishing pad, electronic chemicals, electronic, gas and other semiconductor manufacturing, as well as those companies in packaging materials such as lead frame materials, bonding wire, and chip bonding conductor materials.

Focusing on the enrichment and improvement of urban functions and the upgrading of general consumption, Dongjing New District and High-speed Rail District are planned as the key areas, with a total area of 26.95 square kilometers, and are built with supporting public infrastructure such as schools, hospitals, parks, citizens' homes, cultural centers and Olympic sports center. The area focuses on the introduction of enterprises dedicated in modern finance, e-commerce, research and design, scientific and technological services, modern logistics, general aviation industry, regional headquarters economy and other productive services. At the same time, the area also aims to have more enterprises settled such as those dedicated in modern commerce, urban complexes, mid-to-high-end hotels, health services, cultural experience, leisure and entertainment and other life services.

Intelligent Manufacturing Industry Cluster in the South

The area focuses on the intelligent and standardized development of equipment manufacturing. With an emphasis on advanced manufacturing industrial parks and a total planned area of 20 square kilometers, the area is advantageous as it has existing petrochemical equipment, environmental protection equipment, auto parts, home manufacturing, aluminum products processing and other manufacturing industrial systems. The area aims on introducing more enterprises dedicated in information intelligent hardware, intelligent connected vehicles, industrial robots, drones, integrated circuit system components, smart home and other manufacturing industries.
